Ziwei Chi is an AI art researcher, AIGC filmmaker, and interaction designer. Her work integrates generative models, moving images, sonic experiences, and spatial storytelling to explore poetic expressions of perception, memory, and cultural imagination. She focuses on experimental practices in human–AI collaboration and multimodal sensory interaction.
Her projects have been featured at NeurIPS, CVPR, Creativity & Cognition, and ICIDS, and awarded Track Champion and Best Narrative nomination at the MIT AI Filmmaking Hackathon. Her research is published in IEEE TVCG and ACM HRI. She has worked at Tsinghua University’s Graphics and Geometric Computing Group on intelligent environments, and at Shengshu Technology leading AIGC video projects such as the AI trailer for Venom 3 (broadcasted via CCTV & Sony).
Ziwei holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University, where she graduated top of her class in Design (research-based). Her research interests span generative aesthetics, spatial perception, sound interaction, and human–machine–culture narratives.
